POOLE LOCAL PLAN – Regulation 26 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended) – Adoption of a local plan
In accordance with Regulations 26 and 35 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended), notice is hereby given that the Borough of Poole formally resolved to adopt the Poole Local Plan at a meeting of Full Council held on Tuesday 13 November 2018.
An independent Inspector held an Examination in Public into the Poole Local Plan. The Inspector published his report on 24 October 2018 concluding that the Local Plan with modifications is legally compliant and sound [about the Inspector’s report].
The Poole Local Plan replaces the Poole Core Strategy (2009), the Site Specific Allocations and Development Management Policies DPD (2012), the Delivering Poole’s Infrastructure DPD (2012) and saved policies from the Poole Local Plan First Alteration (2004).
The Poole Local Plan, Adoption Statement and Sustainability Appraisal Report are available as follows:
- Paper versions can be viewed at the planning reception at the Civic Centre (opening hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am – 4.30pm Fridays)
- The documents can be viewed and downloaded from the Council’s website at: https://www.poole.gov.uk/poolelocalplan
- Paper versions can be viewed at all Poole Libraries, opening times available at: https://www.poole.gov.uk/libraries-museums-art-and-culture/libraries/your-libraries/
Over the coming weeks the Council will arrange the printing of the Poole Local Plan and Policies Map which will be available to purchase.
