THE POOLE LOCAL PLAN: Regulation 25 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 – Publication of the recommendations of the appointed person
Mr Malcolm Rivett, the Inspector*, who has examined the Poole Local Plan, has published his Report. He concludes that the Poole Local Plan with the modifications is legally compliant, sound and capable of being adopted by the Council.

The Poole Local Plan is now expected to go to the Council meeting on 13 November 2018 with a recommendation for adoption. Ahead of the Council meeting a final version of the Local Plan will be published, taking into account all of the modifications.
If adopted the Poole Local Plan will replace the Core Strategy, Delivering Poole’s Infrastructure DPD, the Poole Site Specific Allocations and Development Management Policies DPD and saved development plan policies.

*Planning inspector, Mr Malcolm Rivett BA (Hons) MSc MRTPI was appointed by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to undertake an independent examination into the soundness and legal compliance of the Poole Local Plan.
